The world's most critical transactions still run on mainframe systems. Their business logic represents decades of institutional knowledge that works.

Intelligence should be available to core application flows, but only through the same discipline of control that surrounds those systems today.

Runtimes outlast models.
Models, providers and APIs will keep changing. A stable runtime abstraction is what lets applications benefit from that change instead of breaking under it.
Where we are
